Photographer No.5- Hans Eijkelboom

I have chosen Hans Eijkelboom as one of my photograph as i was really fascinated about that way that he brings together photographs of random people on the streets to create multiple imagery grid which show them to all have something in common and in mast cases its what they are wearing. Also i really like the way in which all of the photograph are captured in a natural state and are not posed at all therefore i wanted to look more in to Hans Eijkelboom work.

This first photograph by Hans Eijkelboom is a 5x3 grid of different women who are all wearing pink vest tops. Although these are all different people Hans Eijkelboom has constructed them into a multiple imagery grid to show what they have in common. However this also allows the audience to what is different about each person as well as what is the same. Each individual photograph has been taking in the same urban environment which don't look posed however this appears to be a key element of Hans Eijkelboom work.

This second multiple imagery piece by Hans Eijkelboom again shows the similarities between random people in this urban enviroement and in this case it is that they are all men who are wearing trousers, a shirt and a tie. However as an audience, you are able to identify that not all the ties are the same colour which will then encourage the audience to look for more differences rather than similarities. When looking at the posture of the model, it appear that they are all in a walking motion which may be representing there 'on the go' lifestyle'.

This third photograph by Hans Eijkelboom is again a multiple imagery grid however unlike the others, the model are not wearing similar clothes and that actually the similarity is in the activity in  which they are doing and in this case it is rolling skating with no top on. There are many differences between each model which can be seen which may be represent that they all live different lifestyles however when it comes to rolling skating it is something which they all have in common. Hans Eijkelboom is also almost showing action shots of each model which add to depth of of the photograph as the audience can imagine then actually rolling skating.

This last photograph by Hans Eijkelboom is different from the rest as it only show head shots of each model in the photograph. This multiple imagery grid is of several women who all have a furry hood on. This common feature is easily identifiable by the audience as this appears to be the only thing in which the all have in common. Therefore this then allows the audience see differences between the models and almost become a spot the different game. Lastly due to the shots not being posed, the audience are able to get a real understanding of the environment that they are in due to there facial expressions.

I was influenced by Hans Eijkelboom work as i have always likes the use of multiple imagery grids however i have never considered to do something like Hans Eijkelboom therefore this is something which i would like to include on my shoots and also i would maybe like to experiment with taking actions shots of random people to see how it goes.

Overall i really like Hans Eijkelboom as he almost create a spot the different game within his multiple imagery grids due to all the model have one thing in common but in many cases there are several differences which they audience will be able to pick out.
