Photographer No.4- John Duenas

I have chosen John Duenas as one of my photographers as i like the way in white he creates double exposures of people and either man made or natural things. The combination of the two creates a very unique photograph where you are able to see both element at the same time. I also like how the photograph of the model is sharper than the background allowing them to standout from the rest of the photograph.
This first photograph by John Duenas is showing the combination of a female model and a city sky line. The photograph which is with in the model is be made to be much sharper and more visible. This therefore means that the surround area around the model is slightly faded and appears to be covered by clouds. This allows the outline of the model to be easily identified as it could easily blend in with the background when using a technique like this. Neutral colour can be seen throughout this photograph and it is clear that the nude skin colour is the most obvious colour and stands out the most. This therefore make the model the main focus of the overall photograph even though there are many different elements to it.

This second photograph by John Duenas is similar to the one above due to the use of the combination of a model and a city sky line. However this photograph focuses more on exaggerating the colours in the skin like rather than the model. Again like the photograph above, the photograph which has been placed with in the model is much sharper and more visible that what is around it. This allows a clear out line of the model and ensures that they are the main focus. When looking at the positioning of the model, it looks as if they are looking into the distance and that they are actually looking along with city sky line.

This third photograph by John Duenas is combining a female model and flowers. This is different from his previous photographs as in those he combined the model man made things such as city sky lines and buildings. When looking at this photograph, i feel that the main focus is on the flowers as they are much sharper whereas the outline of the model is very faint meaning that you can just about see her facial features. The background has been slightly blurred to ensure that the outline of the model is visible and helps contrast against the sharp photograph of the flowers.

This last photograph by John Duenas is different from all the rest due to the overlay not being put inside the model. In this example both of the photographs have simply been placed on top of one another and then opacity has been changed to allows the audience to see both of the photographs, This photograph has a very vintage appeal due to the editing effect which has been used. When looking at the photograph in more detail, you can notice that the roses which are over the models hair, are much sharper. This may be due to this being that darkest part of the photograph.
I was influenced by this photographers work as i would to try and incorporate this overlaying technique in to my own work. I would like to do this by beginning to look at combing the model with natural elements as this is something which i like to photograph. This photographer has also allowed me to look at multiple imagery in a different way to what i have done before.

Overall i like this photographs work due to his way of combining the model with both man made and natural elements and allows them to look as if they belong there opposed to that they have been edited to be like that. I also really like the way that this photograph shapes the buildings or flowers around the model body or facial features so that they can have to best effect.
